Why I haven't been on here for a while, and why am in the fight of my life right now
by avishai inmy younger brother, the one who sued the wts, had his girls kidnapped parentally by their mother.
it took several years to get them back, and they're finally back with him and safe, and recovering from all of the trauma.
i was working on this case nonstop for a very long time.. now, unfortunately i have a custody case my very own.

one of the last meetings i attended was a sunday afternoon at circuit assembly--with my wife and kids. i used to go occasionally to keep the peace and turn down the nagging noises. this was in 1980.
after the assembly--we arranged to meet another jw couple we knew well and have a meal at their house. little was i to know that evening an affaire would start between me and the other woman.
this affaire led to my divorce--and total freedom from the cult. the affaire lasted about 18 months.
a couple of years later i met a woman who i married 6 months later. she was a bit curious about the jw thing--and as there was another circuit assembly coming up--i took her to the public talk ( so there was one member of the public there ! )
only problem--i thought it would start at 3-30pm---and we walked in half way through!.
i was well known in that circuit ( i live on a small island--several 100 dubs live here )...and i sensed a stifled gasp as i walked in.
after 10 minutes--my new wife had had enough--and wanted to go--but i didnt want all those hateful eyes on me--so we stayed to the end of the talk.
next day--my former girlfriend phoned me up to ask if it was true---had i really attended--and who was the person with me. i told her--yes we had--and the lady is my new wife.
i never heard from her again--or attended a another meeting ( except for 1 wedding and a funeral --but i dont count those as meetings )
i'm now married again--for the 4th time. my 4th wife is catholic--although she hasnt been to church since ive known her. but if she wanted to go--i would be quite happy to take her--if she wanted me to.

I am disliked..
by zeb intoday after paying the bills i had a coffee met there a sr friend of my wifes and by all accounts a warm chatty personable person.
she introduced me to the sr with her of who i have no memory.. this one has been listening to the rumour mill.
cold aloof she looked at me like i was foul smelling and managed to suffer my little convo with the other sr.. held in disdain!

Who invented your faith?
by TTWSYF inby some estimates there are up to 40,000 different christian religions.
everyone of them started by a man or a woman.. shakers {ann lee} , quakers [george fox], baptists [john smyth] , mormons [joseph smith] , jws {charles russell] etc, etc can all trace their history to a singular human.. all can do this except for one religion.
catholic church was started by jesus or the apostles or both?.

i think jehovah was re-invented by judge rutherford. he knew a good business opportunity when he trod in it.

This Forum. Has it changed? For the better or for the worse? Or not a at all?
by ThomasCovenant inwhen i post i try to imagine that i am at a social gathering or sometimes in someone's house as a dinner guest.
that way it is easier to follow the community guidelines and posting rules set out on the site at the bottom of the page.
i wouldn't want to make a fool of myself in public.

Whole Study Article on Commenting at Meetings
by JW_Rogue ini guess less people are commenting now.
last week's whole wt study was dedicating to the issue of commenting.
people were literally making comments about how to comment, it was very meta (not that most there would get that), anyway the main reason that wt gave to explain away people's lack of commenting?

Blondie:
Many jws know that commenting at the meetings is voluntary (so far) and not required to get everlasting life
